Blog 24

(1) Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
Making time and having Mr. Pang compliment my presentation.

(2) Questions to Consider

a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your block presentation?  Use the component contract to defend that assessment.

P

I met the minimum requirements that were needed for the presentation.
b.     What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project?
Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
AP

I did miss the Interview due to a corrupted data file I explained and showed to Mrs. Ortega, but besides that my blog and research were up to par.
(3) What worked for you in your senior project?

The fact I was able to buy a company for first hand experience.
(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?

Have less research articles because many got repetitive after around 36.
(5) Finding Value

How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?   Be specific and use examples.

The senior project itself didn't help much for my future as I would have continued AVY and learned this whether or not this project occurred.

Blog 18: Answer 2

1.  What is your EQ?
How can a youth sports organizer encourage players to return year after year?

2.  What is your first answer? (In complete thesis statement format)
Through encouraging coaches players will come back to play sports.
3.  What is your second answer? (In complete thesis statement format)
Through competitive pricing with breaks for parents can bring kids back to play sports.
4.  List three reasons your answer is true with a real-world application for each.
Competitive pricing makes parents more likely to spend money in the league as it is cheaper than others. Lower pricing makes it easier for parents to purchase extra equipment for players and keeps them in uniform which has been proven to make players enjoy the sport more as they feel apart of the team. Also price breaks make siblings more likely to continue to play since it would be cheaper for them to play this way.
5.  What printed source best supports your answer?
     Forbes magazine
6.  What other source supports your answer?
     University of Michigan
7.  Tie this together with a concluding thought.
Youth sports is an extremely over-priced area of the economy and by fixing this, more parents will be more inclined to bring their players back year after year.

Lesson 2 Reflection

1.What are you most proud of in your Lesson 2 Presentation and why?
My hook since it grabbed the attention of my audience and held it in a fun way.

2. a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 2 Presentation (self-assessment)?

       AE       P          AP       CR       NC

     b.     Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 2 component contract.
I did what was required on the the contact but did go above by adding extra sources and I thought my activity was one of the better ones in class.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 2?
My presentation went well, I did not rush as much as the 10min to get all my information across and my activity displayed my answer very well.

4. What didn't work? If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?
I would have shortened by hook a little bit as it took 3 minutes and that is a lot of time.

5. What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?
Removing the parent bias towards their kids.

Blog 11: Lesson 1 Reflection

1. What are you most proud of in your lesson, and why?
I am most proud of making time, as I very nearly went over since I had a lot of information I wanted to present to the class.

2. What assessment would you give yourself on your lesson? Explain why you earned that grade using evidence from the component contract.
I would give myself a P, as I did make time, discuss my mentorship, referenced 3 sources, and discussed 5 main points. My conclusion could have been stronger but it was don't and my hook I thought was clever and (in longer lesson) can be built on.
3. If you could go back, what would you change about your lesson?  How can you use that knowledge to give a better Lesson 2?
My lesson did go well, but I wish I could have gone more in-depth with the business portion of my business and next lesson I'll look to move that topic towards the front of my presentation.
